| Bring your curiosity, inquisitiveness, and sense of adventure when you join us in exploring our backyard habitat!
Many animals live along the creek, but some areas of the creek have more than others. Why? What makes one spot a good habitat to an otter, an alligator, or a turtle, while another spot goes unused by all? During this adventure, Chehaw’s Education Staff will teach you how to properly paddle a canoe and safely navigate it on the creek. They will also guide you through discovering the river ecosystem and everything that must work together for it to function properly. You will see many different areas and habitats along the creek. You will learn how this whole ecosystem, including wildlife, plant life and the creek itself, can be impacted by people. Come with us on a wild adventure down the Muckalee Creek... right here in our own backyard.
