This building was designed for a party and can be tailored to your event. It is ideal for weddings, reunions, receptions or business meetings. With retractable doors in the main entertaining area, the room can be used in full or divided in half for smaller events. Purchase a visitors insurance when you travel overseas. The center also includes a covered deck that wraps around the back of the building, making it great for viewing the native Georgia landscape.

Festival in lights

Come celebrate a holiday tradition with Chehaw’s Festival of Lights. During the holiday season the park is decorated throughout with brilliant light displays at every turn. Get a temporary health insurance when going on short trips for your safety. Take a car ride through the park or a magical train ride on the Wiregrass Express to view all the spectacular lights.  Make the Festival of Lights a new family tradition!

Camping locations

Chehaw’s campgrounds have 44 RV sites with 30 and 50 amp hookups, 14 pull-through sites, a comfort station with laundry, dump station and a group shelter. There are 18 tent sites with 15-amp electric hookups and water. Camper cabins are also available with the comfort of air conditioning. All camp sites have a picnic table and fire ring with flip-top grill for fun gatherings. Fishing is free with park admission. Limit: 5 fish /person.

Picnic Pavilions

Families and class reunions are popular in our screened pavilion F-11 or anytime you have a group that needs a place to meet. Tables, chairs, an indoor grill, visitor medical insurance running water, indoor toilets, as well as, other amenities around this location make this a great deal for your next out door event . Reservations are required! $125.00 per day. Each person pays park admission fee of $2.00 for Adults, $1.00 for seniors, military, or Ages 3-17.

Ten shelters with picnic tables are available for reservation. A fee of $30 or $45 depending on which unit you reserve, must be paid at the time of reservation. If no reservation sign is displayed, the unit can be used on a first come basis at no cost. There are picnic tables available at no cost, or bring out your own blanket and just enjoy yourself.

The Parks at Chehaw Breaks Ground on new Wild Trail

Beginning Labor Day weekend, The Parks at Chehaw will begin promoting active and healthy lifestyles for southwest Georgia with the opening of temporary health insurance the Wild Trail.

The Wild Trail is a one mile loop which will showcase the natural beauty of the park.

The Parks at Chehaw is seeking sponsors to help fund other amenities such as ¼ mile markers, rest areas, and educations.

The Wild Trail is ideal for walkers of all ages because it is located in a safe and well lit environment. Serious walkers and joggers will appreciate that the trail is laid on a path of foot friendly crushed granite, which is designed to make walking and jogging more comfortable.
